Hi Lassi,

in spite of its crude manufacture your Police buckle is believed original and I agree with this general opinion.
At the moment no info are available about the maker (at least by myself) anyway it's a late war made buckle by iniection molded.

It's a rather uncommon variant. Very desirable to me, but some collectors don't like it because of the shoddy manufacture. I have the same buckle, still on its belt, and the catch on the belt is of the same brittle material. I really treasure it. Value? Sorry, don't know. You would probably get it sold for around $100 I should think. This one is rather special after all, even though there doesn't seem such a lot of demand.
