What's this for a buckle? Reichswehr?

Hello,
This photo comes from an album of mine.
I didn't knew that such belt buckles existed. It's the ww1 type, but in alluminium.

Are these common? Would this be an early Reichswehr buckle ? The photo was taken in 1936.

The buckle

The buckle face is very hard to see, but it appears to be a Prussian crown in the middle of the wreath. However it would be highly unusual to have a WWI buckle in '36. A Reichswehr belt buckle would have the federal eagle in the middle. The photo is too unclear to discern.

It's indeed veru unusual, but I'm 100% sure that it's a ww1 buckle. (it's better visible in the original image)

I do believe, that they were used after ww1 for a while as well.

Now I've seen it all!

I thought I was going crazy last night, but I guess I was right. That is the first time I have seen a soldat wearing an Imperial belt buckle well into the Third Reich period. I guess they didn't want to throw anything away. I wonder if there was a GI wearing Span-Am leggings in the 30's?
