    Army Belt/Buckle; opinions please.

    Hello all,

I don't collect buckles but have turned up a few lately and this is my first Army. I'm sure that the belt and buckle are original to each other (I almost never got them apart for photos).

The tab is maker-marked but I can't make it out (looks like it starts with HA...) and is dated 1941. The buckle is also stamped HA and dated 41. The belt has some numbers that look like 43 inside a square with some lettering below. Do any of you know the maker? Is the maker commonly found?

    Thanks, Harvey

It does look to be H'ARLD; Is that a known maker of these?

Of course, it's a WH buckle made by Heinrich Arld located in Nuernberg in 1941

Thanks for the comments. Is H, ARLD an uncommon maker? Anyone?

                      Nice buckle, Harvey!

Here is an ARLD buckle made a year after yours. As you can see, pretty much the same thing except for the year.

As for availability? They aren't as common as R.S.& S. or N&H steel Heer buckles, but can be found fairly easy if one is looking for them.
