    HJ Leader Buckle M4/119

What do you guys think of this one? I have searched previous threads for these, this one is constructed differently, with the catch being part of a backplate, rather than being soldered right to the buckle. Thanks.
    Regards,
    Fred

The method of construction here is fine, both for the HJ-Leaders and other Leaders (or Officers) grade buckles. I must say though, I do not like the somewhat crude fixed keeper and claw arrangement at all.

There was a recent thread in connection with the RZM M4/119 HJ-Leaders and toward which you have undoubtedly seen. A different type of construction though.

Another forum member has confirmed in a past thread, the definite fake HJ-Leaders marked RZM M4/22, RZM M4/46, RZM M4/116 and possibly, RZM M4/119.

RZM M4/119 for Eugen Schmiedh******228;usler of Pforzheim.

I must admit, not very comfortable with this buckle by the colour of the aluminium, obverse detail and the fixed keeper.

          Regards,

          David

            David,
Thanks for your comments. This came in a veteran lot (indirect) with some other stuff, all good. Had I seen this one for sale by itself, I would have been unsure about it, as the keeper with prongs does not seem to be fitted with typical german precision.... Anyway I just want to be sure on the buckle before I list it on the estand. Any specialists on leader's buckles care to comment?
            Thanks.
