Real or not army belt and buckle

Need some authentication advice on this belt and buckle. I believe the buckle is OK but have questions about the belt. It does have some stamped numbers inside as shown on photos. The length is about 40 inches. I was told by another collector that the belt was not authentic because the stitching did not go all the way through both pieces of leather and show on the outside of the belt. I collect mainly edged weapons and need some advice on this as well as approx. value if possible. Thanks for looking Tomt

The buckle is real but the belt is a cutdown West German one.

I agree with Jay on this one.

The buckle appears to be a perfectly sound Wehrmacht-Heer (any markings ?), although the leather strap is a post 1945 type by Overhoff.

                Regards,

                David
