No, from a back yard near cologne.
60 years in the ground and the rivet "works".

How cool! 60 years and it still looks pretty good! I wouldn't clean any part of that buckle. Make sure you leave the dirt in there just where it is! Adds so much character to the buckle. I'd love to have something like that!

A "beauty" indeed.

A super rare SA and probably by Overhoff.

In my opinion, just an SA and despite the very distinct horizontal form wings and by their presence, the buckle sometimes being given an erroneous SS association.

Unlike Rob, I would afford this buckle a light clean.

Can't help you with the cleaning tips...sorry... A previously stated, I would leave it as is (as per personal prefference)...I think the dirt in the crevices gives it soooo much character. It will always be a ground dug buckle; cleaning it won't change that- IMO leaving the dirt gives it almost more legitimacy! Just my opinion. Good luck with it....it's a nice buckle for sure!Rob
