I realise the standard Army brocade belt usually had the leather tongue with the series of adjustment holes but I am seeking advice on this style of belt shown. Was this used in Third Reich times? I currently see another identical example for sale on the Net complete with its period issue box which it supposedly came in and is stated as Third Reich.

Army Brocade Belt - Advice Please?

Monty,
No problems at all with this this style. The regs didn't specify the mode of attachment and the type you have is not that rare, at least on military Feldbinden. It is true that most Party and associated Feldbinden have claws on the fastened buckle keeper to be attached to a leather tongue. That is no knock-out criterium though. One also sees the claws attached to the loose keeper, which again goes into a leather tongue, only on the other side of the belt. Yours is in very nice condition as well, and as such quite desirable to my mind.
Thanks for showing,
Karl
