    Luft buck leather marking

I was wondering if anyone has seen this type of double marking on a leather tab before (different year). Can anyone theorize how this came about or why?

    Thanks

Tony, you have a maker mark and date along with a LBA mark and date. Pefectly ok to have different dates as the LBA is an acceptance date. In fact, I probably have 8 or 9 minty buckles like that dated from 1940 to 1942......brown and black tabs.

Nice buckle, though odd to see the S not in parentheses

I don't own such a nice LBA marked buckle like this one with over stamped date, I only have the regular mint 1941 and 42 buckles with black and brown tabs but this is a perfectly OK and super buckle.
