unknown maker: Kollmann&Jourdan AG - Pforzheim

to discuss something else than "always" ss buckles i would like to present a quite uncommon and for me unknown maker from pforzheim.

any comments and information highly welcome!

Hi Sven, its Ben, just had a brainstorm, could this be an early part of Schmole & Comp, looking at the arrow it looks like their symbol that they use?

I like these early WH-Alu buckles.

Interesting: The manufacturers logo on your buckle is associated in J.R. Agolias book with the maker Kugel & Fink, Lüdenscheid (M4/70).
But IMO Kugel & Fink matches not well.

Ben: The logo from Schmöle looks to me more to be a tree rather than an arrow. Take a look at this mm please and entitle your own opinion:

Thanks Guido, it was just a theory, I have never seen or heard of this makers mark before and was trying to make some sense of it

yes you are right, its KOLMAR not KOLMANN. maybe i shouldn******180;t post after two beers
looks like it is your company as you are holding stocks of it.
do you know what happened to that company?

A jewellery manufacturing company (aka KJAG) formed in 1885. Their factory was apparently destroyed during the Second World war, although rebuilt and the company, then continued trading until 1977.
