    Red Coss opinion

    Hi everyone
Could you please tell me if you thick this Red Cross buckle is ok?
I have read a post showing a Very good forged copy exactly the same as this one but it seems to be less crisp in its finish.
Also any information or history on the buckle that you know of, as I am new to this side of collecting
    Regards Paul

It looks ok to me Paul, here is mine for comparison. The rear of yours is not as detailed but they are different makers. I am sure other guys will aslo have input.

Indeed & very fine they are too! Nice to see the JFS version for a change.

It looks good here too! I still don't have one of these buggers! I also agree: nice to see a JFS example. I am used to seeing the Overhoff model!!

Agree with all on this one.

Appears to be a rather pleasant DRK by Josef Feix und S******246;hne of Gablonz as M4/110.

Not at all convinced that this particular maker buckle is faked.

The JFS DRK buckle sometimes appears with a less distinct reverse (as opposed to the very crisp Overhoff), which is apparently, quite acceptable within die stamping technique and end result parameters.

                          Regards,

                          David
