    Markings on Leather Belt

A member has a leather belt brought home by his grand father marked on back as follow:

    First Row : 43 (in a square)
    Second Row : 07123570007 or 0/1235/0007
    Third Row : 98

Any idea what could be the meaning of this ?

I would think that the first row "may" be the year of manufacture. The second row is most definately an Rb number and the last row is likely the size of the belt in cm. Just out of curiosity, do you know if the belt has a sewn adjustment tab or has the holes punched into the body of the belt?

      Hello Infanteer,

      Here is the reply (Copy/Paste):

Many thanks for all your assistance in this matter. On one of the
postings there was an enquiry as to whether the tensioner was with
belt holes or not - I can confirm the belt has holes in it.

I think it best I take some clear photos of it and post them.
Hopefully this can generate some further discussion.

JP’s answer is correct. Year / Rb number / size.
