Does the real one have "lines" in the prongs and the fake one not have the "lines"? I can not tell if it is the lighting or not. And is that one thing to look for on real vs fake...IE lines in the prongs?

    Thanks,

    John

        John,

you are indeed right : only original prongs made by drawn aluminum wire have those "lines" , the fake ones have not since they are cast.

Hi Ric: Thank you for that information. I remember reading about that but I was not sure what that meant, but now I understand what it means from your explanation and the pictures, John

            John,

just to complete my explanation: you also may find original prongs without those "lines" but their surface is totally smooth and never with sign of casting.

            Regards

            Ric

Hi Ric..thanks for clearing that up...I have a question about these prongs...will originals have these "clip" markings at the prong ends and will these not be seen on fakes? Or, will you see these on fakes also? ...hmmm now I am confused because the fake David posted has these, are these type of ends found on originals or fakes or both?

                John,

since all fake alu prongs are cast (of course up to now) they may reproduce the features of the original ones as well, so you must look for casting sign linked with absence of "lines" , nothing more.

                  HI Ric:

Thank you for clearing that up for me. I see what you mean...they should have these marks and a sign of the lines on the originals. John
