        Me thinks.....

        Just my two cents, but it looks like some pictures I have seen of Autrian buckles from WW1. Anybody else have any other ideas?

            Here is it's Twin

            I found this on e-rippoff (e-bay) just a little bit ago. Thought that you all might find it interesting in relation to the buckle above. Eastern Europe and Russia are a treasure trove of military antiques. It's a shame you can't hardly trust any of the stuff any more. Anyways......

                  WWI 50 m/m Austrian buckle.
                  First pictures on this tread are from an original brass buckle.
                  The last picture looks like a steel or brass painted version but I will not pronounce me on the originality of the item by this one picture alone.
                  Just because those buckles (who are common in brass) have been very well faked over the last years. The one illustrated above looks suspicious to me but like I said, I would need more pictures.
