Anyone want to see a MINT RODO?

Is that the buckle known as the "blue" paint variant RODO? If I am not mistaken JP spoke of a scarce color variant of RODO buckles that is not the normal field gray you see.

although in the first pic the RODO posted appears light blue, the same buckle displaied with others appears light green (see the fourth pic).
Anyway the Chad's RODO is of the first type more common than blue painted one (second type) according to Redeuilh's classification .
Anyway to Jean Pierre the last word....

No, it is just a regular Type 1 with standard green shade. The late war paint found on Type 2 looks rather black / navy blue. Whatever some could say, I am still waiting to see a Type 1 with late war (blue shade) paint. Don't know any (yet). Don't forget that Type 1 and 2 are made using two very distinct dies!
