Hello..can some of the buckle collectors give me an idea of justhow rare the standard SS em/nco buckle in the field grey (;which has a bit of apple tint to it I believe) are..how often they are seen..and prices? I'v never owned one..but hope to one day!

I have owned a few feldgrau "RODO " SS buckles these are what I think of when you say field grey...I no longer have any pictures of the buckles I once owned, hopefully someone else will post one for us, but the "RODO" SS buckles are not rare, maybe a little less comon than the silver painted steel...I would say price would be in the $250-$550 rang depending on condition ...hope this helps..Chad

Hi,
don't forget you may find another type of SS EM buckle light green painted : this one is usually marked RZM 155/43 SS under the post sleeve assembly and IMO scarcer than the RODO marked .

Green SS Rodo buckles are not the most rare SS buckles but in my opinion the most desirable ones, and at least the most wanted.
There are only a few on the market and the majority has no, or almost no paint remaining.
The price range for a nice one is starting at 400 euros...Attached Files
