    Two New Overhoff HJ Buckles

    Hi all,

Here's two Overhoff HJ buckles I got from the same antique market in Berlin, one this morning and the other a few weeks back.

A previous owner must have roughly polished the obverse and thereby added all the scratches (the reverse is heavily tarnished):

Reverse. We had this particular marking before, but I think it's very neat so hope you don't mind seeing it again.

And here's the second one, fresh from the dealer' stall...

Reverse. This seems to be one of the more seldom encountered Overhoff markings. In particular, note the "u" at the top of the OLC logo.

Any comments and like pieces for comparison are more than welcome!

        Best regards, Karl

I agree, two very nice HJ buckles!!

Karl, is the "RZM" marking exact the same on both buckles?

              Christian,

at first I thought it would be, but a comparison shows differences to the "R" and the "M" at least. The "Z" is too far gone on the 'OLC logo' buckle to compare I'm afraid.

You'll have a reason for asking, of course, and I'd be very iterested in it!

              Regards, Karl
