Leftover army dies or stock with center design changed used after the war...sometimes seen with the army buckle design on the reverse and a denazified design on the front...details are a little crude on the reverse so am on the fence regarding if the piece is okay.

It looks like a genuine Dr. Franke "box" and also, the logo stamping seems fine, albeit with the date year missing.

As such, inclined to agree with John.

Post 1945 "neutral" buckle.
