Please take a look at this buckle. I has maker mark N&H with an L underneath.
It's not easy to see from the picture, but it has a glossy grey/blue paint.

Your buckle was made by the firm of Noelle & Hueck, Ludenscheid and is WH. It is identical to the Heer buckle my father brought home as a souvenir during WWII.
