One of the quite rare, horizontal wing SA buckles

This is a jolly difficult buckle to find.

I actually think that it is one of the most rare SA's, although there are of course Feldherrnhalle and Danzig associated SA buckles known, as much rarer.

An SA though and as simple as that and in my opinion, enjoying no ϞϞ association whatsoever.

Interestingly, if this buckle is compared to the current "fantasy" horizontal wing SA now seen in abundance, then the differences are startling (thank goodness).

    Regards,

    David

          Photo merge comparison.

These "fantasy" SA's are now commonly seen with the spurious nickle silver roundel, attached to an original box.

          Regards,

          David

Hens teeth Christian - what a photograph !!

NSKK members and with one, wearing a horizontal wing SA buckle in what appears to be a "white" metal. The stub wing variation as a great bonus and I have attached a photo merge for a comparison and confirmation.

                  Regards,

                  David

The same SA buckle - remarkable !

A lucky day ? - I would say a very, very lucky day at €50.

                      Regards,

Does anyone have a pic of a PIMF with his belt buckle? These are the kids who went to the adolph hitler schools.

I seemed to have somehow missed this thread first time round .

That's one scorcher of a buckle David well done!

Thanks for the comparison shot showing the more common fake, although, can I just confirm that the other buckle shown in the next comparison shot in post 9 is also genuine?

                            Cheers
                            Don

                              Thankyou for your comments Don

The "other" horizontal wing SA is original (I hope) and although I have seen some slightly suspect examples by reverse detail, I am sure that as yet, this buckle is not faked.

                              Regards,

                              David
