                    Since there is an increasing request for those buckles (like: is that buckle original or fake?) I think it could help to bring back to live those older threads for now. I will make an update with new photos and new examples in a short while since there is on the market some new very well done fake 155/40's.

                          On all the fakes displayed here, I find the one on picture #12 especially dangerous. I still cannot tell from pic why it's a fake.
                          I'm spending probably 2 hours a day reading old threads of this forum, probably soon I'll know why it's a fake.

                            Casting lines on the fake, wrong post sleeve, wrong prongs (Assmann are always very distinct), wrong size (even if Assmann 155 39's Type 1 are a bit smaller than Type 2 the fake was even smaller than any Type 1), wrong aluminum content, etc, etc ...

                              And this fake was already widely offered on the market by 2009. Much more convincing that the previous so called "V-chest" but a collector paying attention to details can easily see differences with an original.
