        Thanks David

I have read throgh the thread. No markings on this one, can you tell if it is original as I note your comments about fakes of this item. Also, as mentioned this came with some other items I was after and if original I will put it up on the estand. I do not really like asking this, but what would be a fair asking price in your opinion. sorry, but I know nothing about these items
        thanks

The DAF-Werkschar that you hold is original.

It is however very puzzling that there are no markings. Actually, I have never seen an original DAF-Werkschar without a RZM M4 code. I wonder (and without wishing to appear patronising), is there any chance that the markings near to the leading edge of the buckle, have been erased ? Is there a faint trace ?

The "crank" catch is often associated with Assmann, although this catch device was not exclusive to the company.

          Regards,

          David

As David said, the buckle is good. Perhaps we should start on a typology database for the Werkschar like what David is doing with the SA buckles?

Have you ever seen a DAF-Werkschar without a RZM mark ?

I am sure that the one that Andy posted is an Assmann.
