    Rodo Buckle

I just got this in on approval. Did a search on this Forum seems to conform to known originals, does not show characteristics of the fakes, (odd catches, spurious RZM marks, over sized RODO stamp) I welcome comments as you see fit

    Thanks

    Mark

Hi Mark, I made your pictures more visible, and yes, it is a good one.

        Marc,

Thank you, it also unusually has a leather tab, I notice from my search that this is uncommon but not unique. the tab is dated 1941 unfortunately the maker logo is almost worn away.

Hi Mark, I think I'v seen this buckle on a dealer's site. It might even have been posted on the forum lately by somone asking for an opignion. If it is the same one,The tab certainly do not belong to the buckle. It was made up; but this do not take away the buckle itself is original.

Surely a good example...fortunately the fake RODO's have the wrong eagle...you can tell a good RODO w/o even looking at the reverse...and for some reason most of them have most of the paint gone from the front.
