Sorry, but that buckle is no good This same style buckle is available with a number of different maker marks and is usually found with silver paint. Look closely at the shape of the eagle's body and you will be surprised at how often you see this copy being sold as original on the internet. Interestingly, the wreath on this copy has better details than most originals that I've seen.... learn this copy well as it is very common, in fact, it is sold as a repro by some of the militaria dealers.

Would you mind terribly re posting this Overhoff SS buckle within its own and stand alone post (which it jolly well deserves). Also, rather than a photo merge type image, any possibility of full and separate, obverse and reverse views, together with images showing both sides of the buckle.
