Could I get some opinions on this piece, please? I can't find a maker on it. I know it to be a an early piece with a droop tail eagle and crank catch. Is it original? Thank you in advance.

Luftwaffe EM Crank Catch

Not my area of collecting, however the buckle appears to be a perfectly sound and first pattern Luftwaffe enlisted, introduced in mid 1935.
A suggestion and a suggestion only, that the crank catch is possibly indicative of Assmann, although not an exclusive fitting to this particular and distinct company, as other makers utilized it also.
To my knowledge, as yet a buckle not faked.

David
