Although the there are some pictures of the use of this type of buckles by the Germans fighting is Spain during the civil war, this buckle is not officially registered in any uniform regulations as a “legion condor” buckle.
This type of buckle could probably by bought by any civilian or military walking in to a uniform shop or ordered in a buckle factory.
The buckle displayed in the above picture is made from steel and is of a very suspicious manufacture.
The Spanish civil war took place before the begin of the WWII and the buckle should be in Aluminium!! Not in steel!!!
I strongly believe the above buckle is of post war manufacture.

This buckle is still produced. I think nobody make this as fake, it is just a neutral buckle. I bought one on a flea market in Germany(it is absolute the same like shown above) for a few bucks. I can recommend it for daily use!
