Your help to identify this German 1941 buckle

Well, it's the first time I post a message on this forum...sorry for my bad and limited English

I've since years this German belt buckle.
It's in smooth iron, painted black (a bit shiny). No markings on the buckle.

The leather buckle attachment has the logo of Julius Kempf in Lundenscheid and is dated 1941.

Who knows for which kind of trooper, or administration or anything else, whas destinated this buckle ?
A fellow told me that some have been seen on Russian/Eastern people German allies...Why not...Can someone help me to identify this buckle ?

Hello,
from what I know is a still not attributed buckle.
Someone say "Legion Condor", for me is more probably a generic civic buckle.

Thanks you for your answer.

Sure it's not a Legion Condor (especially dated 1941) because Legion Condor buckles are grained.
The surface of mine is smooth.

Maybe you're right and it's a generic civil buckle ?...Well, hope that other collectors will answer.

There are lots of rumours about this type of buckle.
It is also said they were worn by penal imprisoned soldiers.
There is not proof about that, but those guys were not allowed
to wear the national eagle emblem.

In "Gott mit uns", les boucles de ceinture Allemandes, 1870-1945"
mr. Catella shows a photo on page 270. The captions claims the
man to be Legion Condor after his return from Spain.

They were anyway produced after WWII and sold as "neutral",
smooth surface, but also pebbled.

Yes, I do think so. The sewing provides not a trustworthy impression. The double thread for me would be an indication of a later wedding.

The post war version was NOT painted, but merely an aluminum like material.

This one is no magnetic and has a unmarked tab. I have a RODO Heer and a Police with unmarked tabs but I was never sure what this buckle was used for. It is very nice Quality.
