    Did Wehrmacht/SS Officers wear Y-Straps

Did Wehrmacht/SS Officers wear Y-Straps or only EM/NCOs?

Would it be correct to have Y-straps on an officer display/mannequin? (This picture was made in Photoshop)

I would say yes, it would be correct for a combat display. Officers in the field carried their house on their backs the same as the EM. Particularly in Infantry/ Gebirgs units. Higher ranking officers may have been less likely to be seen in full combat rig, but Kompanie grade would be fine. I would do it.
Nice pic, is it a portrait?

It should also be noted that officers in the field were inclined to wear the Other Ranks buckle & belt, to be less obvious to snipers.

Thank you, Steve. Check this web site (you will like it):

Btw, if you save enlarged versions of the images on this website to your hard drive and then open it with any graphic program (like Paint), you will notice that they are huge -1324X1585 px (see below) Isn't cool?
