Yeah that was me but i dident see the reply till to late i thaugt i would just put a 1Euro bid in and hope some one would out bid me but alas i hope it isent 100 euros oh well

Maybe someone on the forums from Germany would like the item. You could pay the seller the 1 euro sale price and the forum member who wants it can go pick it up and take it? Or just pay the seller and tell him you don't want the item. That way you are only out 1 euro instead of 101

These are actually quite common in Germany and other places in Europe. As a matter of fact I passed by three of them while taking a stroll through our village last month.

Hey Rick were these the WEHRMACHT marked ones?? and what condition were they in and were they accessable as in i could pick it up with out any one getting annoyed or were they in use?
im having an idea if i can find enough and take my dads Tranny over and pick some up as i have been told they sell for £300 over here

Even in Europe the thing wouldn't go in a regular mail carriers car. Definately a Truck/Van delivery item. DHL would rape you on that one.

what will be next?U-565's conning tower perhaps ?Hear me out mate;hitch a ride to the seller's house,pony up your €1 ,write your address and "postage paid by the addressee"on the barrel and roll it to the nearest Post Office ,unweld the top of the "faas",get inside the sucker and put the top back .Now,apart from the fact that being found hidden inside an old barrel painted pink would be embarassing to say the least , all it's left for you to do is saying your prayers and address an ardent plea to your guardian angel to see to that that your barrel and its content won't be picked up by the local car-wrecker and put under a 10000000lbs. industrial press to be crushed to a bleeding 15"x15" pink cube...that would be a sad end for a WAdotcom member !
Other major risks would have your barrel picked up by a local Reggae band and used as a drum, or used by a recycling company to collect sump oil ...not to mention the fact that rolling pink barrels down a steep slope is all the rage in some parts of Germany !
You can always move to Germany and start a brand new life there. ....I can imagine how your barrel will look like with a door,two windows and a chimney pot !
