15. Panzer Regiment

Hi all:
I just purchased these Oberleutnant shoulder boards with the cipher '15' which I believe indicates the 15th Panzer Regiment. Is there any way I can find more information on this particular regiment? How does one know which Division a Regiment is from ??

Very nice early boards!

Panzer Regiment 15 was created 1937 in Sagan, consisting of originally 6 companies equipped with Panzer I and II.

After the annexation of Czechoslovakia in 1939, Panzer Regiment 15 was equipped with Panzer 38t

In 1940 - Panzer Regiment 15 became part of 5.Panzer-Division.

After the war with France Panzer Regiment 15 was reorganized in the new 11.Panzer-Division.
