Help ID 10 liter jerry/gas can

I know this is not WWII but can anyone please shed light on:

1) is it military?

2) if so, whose military?

3) if so, what era?

4) is the paint original to it?

Stamped with "10 L" and capital "F" on one side. Appears to have remnants of red color lining inside, like a BMW motorcycle gastank of the 1970s.

I have one like this that I bought on the '80 for my off road, but I see that today they are still on sale.
My is civilian, came from the old Czechoslovakia and is light green.
