It looks in the style and shape of Schiwwnwagen steering wheel, but I cannot tell you if it's a original or remake.

Yep your right, as I found one on the net (attached below) similar looking but as you can see the original one I posted has only 3 bars, and the centre locking system setup is different. Sorry Kradman my mistake:-(.

Appears to be a new-made one (or at least post-war).

This style is a very common German tractor steering wheel...used in the Steyr, Deutz, and others from the 1930's to the 1970's. They used this wheel in the Sdkfz. 251, 11, and other half tracks.

You can still find them on eBay, as they are made today.

On the originals (pre-war and wartime), there are 2 grooves on the top that go all the way around the wheel. See the kubel steering wheel above for reference. If those grooves are not there (as it appears to be on yours), then it is post-war..

100% your was re-painted...and the rubber as well as the hub is not correct for wartime.

I suspect it is just a 1950-1970 tractor steering wheel.
