Can anyone help to identify this metal box. I think it's from some technique.

I believe it is a tool box for some Wehrmacht car. I can't remember what model. There is some thread around. For under the seat...?

Very possible. Interesting only from a vehicle. I assume it is quite popular because I already have two boxes.

Hi, yes it is a toolbox for early Kfz12 & 15 vehicles. They fit under the front seats (2 used). Used on the 2x4 medium cars (Wanderer W11, Adler 3G, Horch 830 etc.) as well as the first types of 4x4 "Horch" ( with "Stützachse" shaft) . Those for Wanderer and Horch carry Auto Union emblems and are numbered "1" and "2". Not this one, so probably Adler or Mercedes.
