Does anybody know what those wheels are?

They appear to be the inside road wheels from a German Sd. Kfz. 251 halftrack and they would have originally been bolted together.

Since the original poster is from PA, you have to wonder how these wheels made it to the states to end up on a garden cart! While everyone else in the vet's company who brought this home was busy sending back Lugers, K-98s, daggers and medals, he sent home two Sd. Kfz. 251 road wheels! Look around the property there may be a scavenged half track in a barn or rusting in the woods! Recently at an Austin-area estate sale there was a similar garden cart with what appeared to be some manner of Swiss or other European road wheels. There's gotta be a good back story on stuff like this.Comment
