My new StuG

Gentlemen,

I promised I would post my new StuG. I was following a green wrap at Ebay but, due to condition, I considered the price was going too high so decided not to bid. Anyhow, the seller also had this StuG model, so I went for it. Pics are seller's. I've been told he had a set of tracks, which I will also get in the packet.

I have done some research on the Aalborg Sturmgeschütz Ausbildungsbataillon. Seems it was created as Sturmgeschütz-Ersatz-Abteilung 400 in Jüteborg, Wehrkreis III, in December 1942 (Sturmgeschütz Replacement battalion 400). In June 1943 it was reorganised as Sturmgeschütz-Ersatz-Abteilung 400 und Sturmgeschütz-Ausbildungs-Abteilung 400(Sturmgeschütz Replacement battalion 400 and Sturmgeschütz Training battalion 400) and moved to Aalborg, Danemark, in April that same year, where it remained till the end of the war.

What I find strange is it is written Aalborg Sturmgeschütz Ausbildungsbatallion and not Ausbildungs-Abteilung. Perhaps someone might clarify.

I've got my StuG III at home already!!

Even when it has some little damages and the barrel moves a bit, it looks really nice.

It came with only one track and seems post war, as seller said. So I had to cheat a bit to shoot the pics, moving the track from one side to the other. It is hand made, using little metal strips, shaped over a rubber band. I don't know if to make a second one to match this one, or make a set of replicas of period ones.
