A friend of mine visited the Bovington Tank Museum last week and showed me some pictures from there which I'm glad he did as I had forgotten that they were shipping over the Elephant from America for the display. A 400 mile drive to visit there but very glad that I did, a very well layed out display plenty of light and very few people around to get in the way of me taking pictures. A great thrill to see them all lined up there especially the Elephant which acording to the information was actually at the Kursk battle. Only vehicle that I couldn't find was the early Sdkfz 251 that I had seen on my last visit, maybe beeing restored? Just a shame that they couldn't obtain one of the Sturmmorser Tigers to complete theline up only the barrel on display.

It sure was fun to sit in the top hatch as it went across a field of burning Sherman tanks.

Fury
Hi Owen,
You must tell us the story of how all this came about! You got to be on the set while they were making Fury... Are you actually in the scene where two of the crew members bail out of the Tiger and Brad Pitt shoots them with a Thompson?
Incredible pictures. Thanks for posting them.
I was fortunate to get to see the Tiger exhibit in June 2017. Very worthwhile trip to the Bovington Tank Museum. Me and a Tiger II from the 101st SS Heavy Tank Battalion, which fought in Normandy in late August 44. I am 6'6", so you can see the Tiger II is very tall.
