SS License Plate - Ground Dug

I am about to purchase this SS License Plate and would like some final opinions before proceeding with final payment.

It looks to me to a genuine period piece although if there are those out there who are more familiar with license plates and ground dug items than I am and thinks differently I would like to hear your opinion.

I thought I had seen this piece before somewhere several years ago but I cannot recall where.

It supposedly comes from a Half Track with mounted Flak, although as to whether there is anyone here who can track a specific unit / vehicle based on the license plate number I would very much like hearing from them.

hello, i have to say its an Original , some guys do falsify but this is in to bad condition ,good for you that its not a repro,
about the number itself i have a list of platenumbers but its not compleet
pitty coz mostly its with picture of vehicle the 6 digit numbers is correct with ss you have 1,3,4,5,6 digit numbers

I was told it was found in or around the Korsun region so not sure if that helps anyone in narrowing down the possible unit ID from the license plate.

SS 152 303 Ford Truck, tactical sign for 5/SS PzArt Regt 2 , Das Reich, Normandy

SS 152 276 SdKfz 232, carried the Kursk Das Reich division sign, 1/SS PzAA 2.

SS 150 xxx, 151 xxx, 153 xxx, 154 xxx. 155 xxx, all Das Reich vehicle numbers and no other SS divisions.

I maybe wrong but i think the rust pattern do not match, etc .............
