    Overloon Panther Ausf G n° 222

Went to the Overloon museum yesterday. By last time a lot has changed.

The Panther then was in a camouflage scheme but now it is in dark yellow again. This is the Original Panther Ausf G 222 that was knocked out in October 1944

First the photos of the tank 5 years ago

I think the overall appearance now is more better, the camouflage painting was horrible But this Panther, built in August '44, was coated with Zimmerit paste in the MNH factory and this detail is now missing:

I totally agree. It looks better now but they should have applied the Zimmerit with the particular structure.

            Zimmerit

Therel is a good re-application of Zimmerit with the camouflaged version, but it appears to have all been removed for the yellow version, why?

            Who decides all this ??

                panther

                hi

both the previous camo paintjob and the application of the "zimmerit" was horrible.
the zimmerit was applied with a wrong tool so that it was totally different as it should have been.
now its better....but the museum should make some effort in finding the missing parts like front hatches, real Bosch headlight etc ....

                cheers

I read in some other thread something about tracks being set the other way round on purpose. I can't remember what the reason was, perhaps to help them turn faster or something like that...browse around WAF and you'll find it for sure.
