First time I have heard of these. Apparently built on a British Army APC chassis. Saw them at an event at the US Army Historical Education Center.

Hi,

Band of Brothers added an extra wheel to the chassis of a five wheel FV432, so their six wheel StuGs were about the correct size as an original.

This one has only the five wheels of an original Fv432 chassis, consequently this StuG is only about 80% the size of a real StuG.

I believe that the 6 road wheel per side replica Stug lll that was in Band of Brothers is currently owned by a re-enacting group in the USA. There was also one listed on Milweb a while back for 35,000 BP. I don't think it was the same machine. A lot of extra work and $$$$ to extend the chassis and add the extra road wheel, but well worth it, visually that is.

Yes, the BoB Stug is owned locally and I used to see it at re-enactments for years. This is not it. This one is also owned by a local re-enactment unit.

Where do you get reproduction stugs? Will they cooperate in trying to get blueprints?
