Sd.Kfz.250/251 MG Shield Dims?

Hey guys, can anyone tell what the angles and dimensions are of the MG34/42 Gun shield is that sits up top of both these vehicles? I've tried working with several photo's etc however the angles seem to very across the board so I'm unable to get a definitive answer. I know the plates are roughly 430mm high x 410mm along the baseline but the angles seem to very between 110 degrees to 95 degrees?

Hi Phil yes its me Simon.....I haven't tried anyone yet although yes Wheatcroft is local....I thought it would be a simple build but again the more you look more you find and I've noticed loads of differences especially concerning the rake angles so a few actual measured dims would be helpful.

If anyone can check measure the dims I'd be most grateful and thanks for the help Bullitt

I measured many and drew them for Panzer Tracts No.15-3. There is a whole page reproduced at 1:20 scale showing the differences between MG 34 and MG 42 versions.

Cheers for the heads up Hilary I'll have to get that book if I can find a copy, didn't know they changed in dimensions to the weapon type?

measurements

Hi

the angle you asked for is 105 ° (lower corner)
the angle at the centre point of the shield is 118°
the angle at the top ( highest corner) is 99°
