Forgotten Pz III's in forest???

Wow, interesting pic. I know of three American made (British used ?) tanks (actually 2 Chaffees and an M7 Priest )sitting abandoned in a field in Hannover Germany. I wonder where these are.

They look too clean for forgotten vehicles.

Not Forgotten. These Pz III's were dug in as bunkers post war in Norway, a few years ago they were dug out, most had no engines or gearboxes. One went to Poland and the others are in storage or being restored.

I read about these sometime ago. They were used as pillboxes by a military airfield in Norway after the war, if not mistaken. I believe they would send two to Germany, to get one rebuilt and the second would be the payment for the first. There were quite some pics around the internet. I'll try to find a link.

Yes I remember those cement encased Panzers from Norway.
Wow they cleaned up really good. I did not associate them with that first picture!
