I just purchased this and was wondering a little about it. I have never looked at them before. The vet who brought this back also brought home a panzer dog tag

This is a license plate tag issued by the senior police authority - the Landrat or county councillor- in the County of Altena in Westphalia. The tags were riveted to the license plate. There are many examples in the Police forum.
