For the non German readers ... pay attention to the text of the auction! Its only the armour part which is offered in the auction!! The frame / running gear is not for sale here !!

          251 for sale

          hi

mmm weird ...not so long ago (october 2016) it was bought by the SdKfz team in Poland and now its back on sale
          https://www.facebook.com/Team-Sdkfz-461624790666472/

the complete vehicle ( excluding the side stowage bins) is for sale on Milweb at 70.000 €
          http://www.milweb.net/classifieds/vi...ad=84346&cat=1

Now they put just the body up for sale on e-bay ....the nosesection is ok but as we can see on the pics , the cockpit and rearbody are a jigsaw puzzle of welded shattered parts (burst like an easter eggs)
mostly original but also some repro (very smooth) parts.

I wonder at what price it will end

on one of the pics in the back you can see another SdKfz 251...that is their 251 Ausf C . The other parts "littering" the floor are mostly StuG III parts ( for their other ongoing project)

          cheers

From what I understand, it was sold some time ago...but the new owner could not pay...so the team took it back.

Not sure who the owner is, or if it is even legit.

              legit

              hi

because its from Poland, I don't think its legit to export it to any other country.
we all do remember that Polish found Panther that Littlefield bought.....lots of trouble and law suits came along with it ....

altough it looks like scrap metal , they won't be able to sell it as such...the new owner will have to cope with big sorrows and IMHO this specimen is not worth all that trouble.

              cheers

Their problem, as they offer delivery. No risk for the (european) buyer.

                  251 for sale

The panther got safely to the states as well via Germany ...but trouble came afterwards when Poland claimed it as being theirs.

and what about the Flick Panther ...that was even confiscated after so many years.
In many countries only official museums may own armoured stuff....private persons may not.

                  cheers

The Littlefield Panther was transferred to Germany, and sat there for a looooooooong time with a heavy collector in a scrap yard before sending to the USA.

items from Poland can be exported, as long as it is not a complete vehicle (parts are no problem).

As this is a collection of bad 251 parts, it is not a problem.

Flick got his Panther back as far as I know.
