    Panther wheel

    Hi guys,

I own this mighty heavy wheel from a Panther tank. Alas, the wheel has been repainted. Can you guys estimate the value?

    hi

so you want to sell it ?
maybe it was all rusty and lost all of its original color?
it also has been redrilled and saw some postwar use ...hence the damage to the rubber rim

    cheers

      Bullit,

I see you have got good sight. For sure, if it is repainted, it didn't have much original paint left and was rusted to some extent. Those extra holes point towards a post war use. Pity they didn't weld off those holes before painting...it would look nicer.

That's a pity, but thanks for answering. I'll take the wheel to metal scrap yard.

Not saying you should take it to the scrap dealer...For sure some collector will be happy buying it. Just pointing that it looks nice but it could look nicer if properly restored...and that Bullit surely has some nicer one but he was indirectly letting us know, without showing off too much If I collected Panther, I wouldn't mind buying it...but I collect Pzkpfw III-IV.

            Fred,
Nice wheel, pity that its repainted and has some extra holes to it, but imo you can still fetch more than €100,-.

Nice wheel, and still desirable in this condition.
I'm still looking for one, would make a nice Coffee table!

                      best regards

The wheel will be worth more than euro 100. I think you would be able to get at least euro 200-250 for it.
