Hey guys...
Does anyone have any drawings (or photos from all angles) of the Sd.Kfz. 11 differential?
I am told this is the same and the Sd.Kfz. 251?
I am more interested in the back and bottom.
The reason why is due to THESE below drawings.
This is supposed to be from an Sd.Kfz. 11...
BUUUUUUT...
I do not understand the access nuts on the top, bottom, and lower. It almost appears that as no space was needed for a shaft running along the top...the original top cover was replaced with another bottom cover. This would give it the additional access nut.
Please note that it is not as "round" as the side profile suggests. You are basically looking at the brakes, as well as a steel sheet cover...giving it the appearance that the entire diff. is cylindrical in shape.
Appears the mounting lugs were also chopped off...?
The extra nuts are only affixing the cover.
Thoughts or comments?
TIA
Mike
