    Panther in Paris

    Hi Folks,

    One photo of my collection:

If I was the guy standing on top of the turret with back to camera, I would think real hard about getting into a more "secure" stance! It would hurt real bad to fall from the top of a tank turret onto cobblestone!

The proper "three points of contact" to maintain while climbing on/off tanks is shown by the young man with his hand on the mantlet. (just an old tanker talking!)

    Great photo, Ricardo!

      Panthers in Paris

      Hi Ricardo
This link shows what I believe to be the same Panther in Paris. The two pictures at the bottom of the page appear to be the same tank with FFI painted on the side. In the book "Is Paris Burning" you can see the same tank being driven by its German crew prior to it's capture, the commander sitting in an open hatch. The photo was taken by a resistance member. Not hard to guess what happened to him with FFI partisans snipping at any German they saw.

      Regards
      Johnsy
