Help needed please

a friend has offered me a Heer Major's field gray wrapper and pants (heer pattern) , privately tailored but it is fitted with sewn in military police boards, a nice flat wire heer breast eagle, police silver arm eagle, sewn on officer collar llitzen with the police orange piping. Piece also has a nice embroidered
feldgendarmerie cufftitle. I will post pics later, but does this sound like the
correct configuration for a field police armored unit major?

any comments are appreciated, piece has been in his collection for years

You'll get more response there, of course without pictures many might be hesitant to comment.
