I've read somewhere that the 190000 serie was for the 9 SS panzer Division Hohenstaufen

Which is exactly type of armored vehicle is shown on this photos?

I also managed to find the information that the license plate with the number SS- 192 167 was belonged to the SS Pz.Art.Rgt. 9th
Could this be the same unit on presented photos?

Hi Schlange,

The half track is a SdKfz 250 or I ton SPW, its own number plate looks like its starts with SS-193xxx.

There is no guarantee that any vehicle with the SS prefix 192 is from the SS Pz Artillery Rgt 9 or even from the 9th SS Pz Div, but most 19x numbers appear to be used by the 9thSS.

For the 9th SS PzDiv I have seen SS prefixes 190, 191, 192, 193 ,194, but also 190 for a vehicle from the 17th SS PzGren Div.

Also as 90% of all SdKfz 250 were used in the Aufklarungs Abteilung of a panzer divisions, it is more than likely that this 250 is from SS Pz AA 9, and as the motorcycle has a tactical sign for an Aufkl Unit just above its rear light, these are for sure vehciles of SS Pz AA 9.

Have you got any more photos of this vehicle or others that you can show on this thread, for a better identification ? would be good if you have.

Hi Mathluft,

Back to the original subject after the age query diversion, what is it exactly where you have seen the number SS-154xxx, vehicle, document, number plate ?? would be interesting to know.

The 154's I have seen were a VW Kubelwagen and a Sdkfz 250/5.
