    Ford V3000s

I am replacing the exhaust system on my V3000s in doing so I have removed the heat transfer box from the old exhaust system. I plan to have it copied in stainless steel, does anyone have any knowledge of this particular system, on the underside I can make out the name Tria which I presume is the manufacturer and Heizung which means Heating, if anyone has any information on this type I would be very grateful.

Aww Phil, will keep you posted as to progress on the copy I don't doubt that its equally applicable to the Blitz I am pretty sure that individual manufacturers would not have been fitting a preferred unit. In my opinion they would have been retro fitted to vehicles for the Ostfront. However the only information I can unearth relates to the heat transfer boxes on the Kubel, still we live in hope.

A few shots of the cab interior showing the heater pipe and the windscreen distributors - I have never seen these before acquiring the Ford but I notice on the Norwegian site some pictures of other Ford cabs with cut outs in the top of the dashboard, do you have similar on your Blitz? I am particularly fond of that thing at floor level for warming the passengers feet in the last picture.

Some months ago -on this very same forum- was a thread about a Ford 3000 left in some North-African country. There were quite a few salvageable parts.

Closer to home, on the website of reenactors "Second Battle Group" - see: http://www.sbg1.mistral.co.uk/ - there is a file on the restauration of a Ford 3-ton truck. Maybe they can help you?

Does anyone know if anything has happened to the Tunisian one? The one with the SBG is long gone its in Spain that was an F198t a French built one SAF Poissey they were building them for the Germans and they were identical to the V3000 with the exception of the cab which was six inches wider - only the French!!
