Instructional tiger i model

Hi,

Here is for sharing a great wooden tiger ... in close to mint condition !

This model was used as training aids for german army.
Glued to the underside was a printed card giving basic specification data for the subject tank ...
these model were supplied to organisations such as tank and anti ank training schools.

They naturally proved to be a popular souvenir for allied soldiers, but are quite rare today ... understandably, most were subsequently payed with, to the point of destruction, by small boys

That is very impressive! Here is my 1/16 hobby scale Tiger II. Its over 90 % metal and weighs in at around 20 pounds.

The American’s also made these scale models during the war (models of Axis vehicles), there is a very unique one in the Combined Arms Center “Frontier Museum” (Ft. Leavenworth, KS).
