And the not so flat packed upper hull. I wasn't going to assemble this until I had finished another project but i thought firstly that the turret would display better sat on top and secondly painting it would stop it getting rusty.

            Steve,

I going to sue a simple braked differential steering system which I will build using a standard diff. As for the engine and gearbox I haven't made my mind and cant until the lower hull is assembled and I can see the space restrictions. Ideally I would like a straight six petrol but I don't want a modern unit, in the end I will have to use what I can find that will fit the space and has the required horse power.

PS. are you going to try to find original tracks or are you going to have them cast?

                        Evening all,

I have been quite busy and seem to have achieved, not a lot. I decided that it would be nice to have something to display the upper hull and turret on until the day in the future when the hull is complete, so I made a simple frame. I didn't intend to but I have added some of the more major features to the upper hull and I have made the drivers vision port cover. The armoured covers for the fuel tank filler pipes are all complete, although I have to confess, never having seen the inner side of these covers, I have used some artistic license. I have spent time today giving the outer surfaces a coat of grey and tomorrow I intend to spray the inside in cream.

The first picture is my attempt at the armoured cover for the fuel tank inlets and the second picture is from the PZ2 at Bovington tank Museum.

And now the southern comfort has taken effsct night night.

I sprayed the interior cream today, it looks so much nicer and a better picture of the armoured covers for the fuel fillers.
